Such Ferocious Beauty Album and Barn Diaries

Cowboy Junkies are a Canadian alternative country/blues/folk rock band. The group was formed in Toronto in 1985 by Margo Timmins (vocalist), Michael Timmins (songwriter, guitarist), Peter Timmins (drummer) and Alan Anton (bassist). Throughout the Spring of 2021 Margo and Michael got together in a converted barn located in Eugenia Falls. During the day, Michael would write, and in the evening, Margo would drop by and sing. This was the initial phase of developing the songs that would eventually make up the album Such Ferocious Beauty.

Scope

The Cowboy Junkies had an album recorded, a photo and concept for the album but needed someone to layout the album cover, inner leaflet and inner booklet for the CD. Michael also wanted to recreate his songwriting notebook for a limited CD release.

The initial phase was laying out the album and CD cover, inner sleeves and labels while staying true to the original concept. 

Once the Album and CD were in print production we started work on the limited release CD called “Barn Diaries”. We found a local printer in Owen Sound who was able to match the paper and cover to the original notebook. Allowing us to give the Cowboy Junkies fans an authentic memento.
