Street Banner and Ads

The Eglinton Way Business Improvement Area is a Toronto BIA with a commercial district that runs along Eglinton Ave, between Avenue Rd and Chaplin Cr. The BIA has a mandate to maintain and beautify their commercial neighbourhood beyond city service standards and to activate the public realm with public installations and events that by extensions nurture economic development within the designated area.

Scope

The Eglinton Way BIA wanted to create new banners using recently commissioned street photography. The street banners stay up for 6 months so we decided to tie the design into ad campaign within the neighbourhood for the late summer/fall, holiday and winter season. Postcards were mailed out to the neighbourhood in August promoting shopping local. Banners went up in early fall and we had three ads in the local Village Living magazine that came out in the Fall and Winter.
