Urban Market

The Oakwood Business Improvement Area is a Toronto BIA with a commercial district that runs along Oakwood Ave, between Charles Breton Park and Bude Street, with adjacent Vaughan Rd businesses. The BIA has a mandate to maintain and beautify their commercial neighbourhood beyond city service standards and to activate the public realm with public installations and events that by extensions nurture economic development within the designated area.

Scope

The Oakwood BIA was launching a Farmers Market in their local park. However, they wanted to also have local vendors, entertainment and activities that highlighted their diverse area. The task was to create bus shelter ads, posters, postcards and a social ad that highlighted the diversity of the neighbourhood and the fun event style of the "Urban Market”.
